The concept of Influencer branded product is finally starting to catch on. The NYTimes is calling it 'micromerch,' which I don't think is such a bad name.

Basically, merchandise branded by Influencers who have a dedicated following.

I understand the business model for companies that are offering a swath of other product, or carry a product line that's diversified beyond just those Influencer product, but I don't see how a company can be solely in the business of producing micromerch.

But, maybe that's the point. It's not meant to be a business unto itself but an additional revenue stream that supports an existing brand.

Something int he way of adding value to your company as an add-on, not a structure that stands on its own.
