Leather Die Press

We're heading to a handbag factory in New York today that has a leather die press from the early 1900s. It was manufactured in Brooklyn.

A die press is basically a piece of equipment that helps you cut shapes in leather. For us, those shapes help make the leather Upper for the shoe.

We're also working with a die manufacturing company out of Iowa and Pennsylvania. Since volume is picking up, we're trying to find ways to be more efficient with production and where our time is being spent.

Time for coffee.
